This role would report to the Houston office and cover document review/signing and court appearances primarily in the Houston area, but may be assigned to cover hearings throughout the state as needed. Court appearance for this role are expected 3-5 days per week.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct document review and discovery
- Execute documents requiring Attorney’s signature
- Communicate with Managing Attorney and clients in order to discuss details of cases
- Assist in responding to litigation specific components of all client audits
- Monitor relevant legal rules, regulations, statutes, and case law
- Conduct research and analysis of legal problems
- Analyze the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents
- Prepare and file legal documents
